Generosity Increases Your Own Income

Generosity isn't a cost; it's an investment. Discover how giving freely builds trust, creates opportunities, and ultimately increases your business revenue by strengthening your most valuable asset: your reputation.

Good morning.

Picking up where I left off… One of the best ways to increase your business income is to give money away.

This can be partially explained through your business reputation. People prefer to do business with those who appear generous and confident. A person known for giving looks like someone who has enough, which signals competence.

By contrast, someone who clings tightly to every dollar may appear anxious, stressed, or small-minded. That impression may make others less comfortable referring business, partnering, or recommending them.

This is more complicated than giving to get. Generosity produces a byproduct: people trust you more.

Trust leads to opportunities. Opportunities lead to revenue.

In a networking community like ours, this is especially relevant. Your reputation travels faster than your marketing. When people know you support good causes and treat money as something you circulate rather than hoard, doors open more easily.

Because those who ask shall receive, and those who seek shall find, and those who knock will have the doors opened to them. (Matthew 7:7)

Generosity is different from cost. Over time, generosity functions as an investment in the most valuable asset we business owners have — reputation.

Thank you.
